So, you're wondering how to mold your dogs nose and how to get your Dogs Nose Printed?  The process of taking a mold of your dog nose and getting your dogs nose printed, is actually fairly simple and straight forward.  However, it is very different from the process of casting a dogs paw or getting taking their paw prints in plaster, which uses more traditional life casting methods.

Most Life Casting techniques rely on alginate or clay to take the mold.  But, when taking a mold of a dogs nose to create a dog nose print, it is not possible to use alginate or clay, due to breathing restrictions.  If you wish to mold your dogs nose, you will need to use an alternative molding material, which will enable you to take an instant nose print, without any harm or distress to the dog.

The best molding material, for taking a mold of a dogs nose, is a a two part silicone putty, which we supply in our professional Silver Dog Nose Print Impression Kit and our Pet Nose Casting Kit.  It involves mixing both parts of the Putty (A & B) until thoroughly combined and then quickly pressing your dogs nose into the silicone to mold and take a print of their Nose.

Once you have the silicone mold of your dogs nose you can then cast it in either Silver, Clay, Resin or Plaster. This will enable you to transform your dogs nose print into a range  of beautiful and everlasting Pet Nose Print Keepsakes.
